Since my date with Tim Hortons, we've exchanged a few texts. But I realized I wasn't that excited about seeing this guy again. You know you're not interested when you read their message, toss your phone on the bed, go for a run, eat dinner, twiddle your thumbs for awhile, and then remember you never responded.
Don't get me wrong, we had a fun time on our sushi outing. He's a really sweet guy. But I wasn't attracted to him. He was 6'3" and probably 120 pounds. And kind of reminded me of a stick bug.
Of course a few days after I didn't reply to a text, I'm walking down a pretty empty street at 2 p.m. on a Sunday and see him a few yards away walking toward me. And we're the only two on the sidewalk. Of course my mind races to think of something else I can look at until we're a little closer and I can say hello, but nothing comes to mind. I look inside the Subway, then up in the sky (what?!), and then start looking through my purse like I've dropped the cure for cancer in there.
When we finally got in front of each other, I feel my face get hot and know I'm probably a lovely shade of maroon and basically barf out a greeting. We had the typical "Hi, how are you? Good you? Ok see you later but really I'll never see you again!" convo and then I went on my merry way.
And I knew my instincts had been correct. Tim Hortons was just not my cup of coffee.
