Hello, I Love You, Won't You Tell Me Your Name?

Until now, most of the guys I've talked to have initiated the conversation. They see my photo, like what I have to say, whatever. And while it's definitely fun to look at guys' profiles when I'm bored at work, I've held back a little from being the initiator. There's just something so eye-rolling about writing that opening line. (I'm serious, I roll my eyes everytime I write something.) Do you go with sweet? Funny? Boring? It's all a little too mature for me I suppose.

Well today I was cruising the profiles of my "matches," not really interested in any of the faces. And then I see a very cute guy with a smile that could light up the darkest of days (shut up) and really wanted to talk to him. He's brunette, tall, 30, and just moved here from Toronto to work at a marketing agency in the city. Check please.

I was left with a choice. Do I wait and see if he comes upon my profile and decides to message me? Or do I just bite the bullet and say hello to this pinch-squeezingly cute dreamboat with brown curly hair and seemingly good taste in music?

Well, c'est la vie mes amies. I sent him a quick message and now I can only hope to hear back from Gaston. (Minus the long hair).
